Fátima Lopes, born in Madeira Island, decides
in 1990 to follow her dream of fashion and moves to Lisbon. Two years later,
Fátima Lopes launches her own brand and opens her first Fátima Lopes boutique. Her talent and work was quickly recognized.
In 1995, Fátima Lopes brand debutes in the major portuguese
fashion event, Portugal Fashion, and at the same time it begins to be
presented at several french fashion fairs.
The House and PFW
1998 was a great year. Fátima Lopes opened her House in Bairro Alto, one of the trendiest places in Lisbon, a building with 1200m2. In the House, we can find a boutique, her creation studio and atelier, a bar and also her own and special model’s agency, Face Models. In March 1999, Fátima Lopes became the first Portuguese Fashion Designer to present in “Paris Fashion Week” alongside with the most talented and recognized international fashion designers. Since then, Fátima Lopes collections are presented in Paris twice a year.
the world’s most expensive bikini
Always bold and brave, the designer surprised
the world when in 2000 she walked in the catwalk with the world’s most
expensive bikini, valued one million dollars, all in gold and diamonds. This
was mentioned all around the world and it’s remembered until today.
In 2001 Fátima Lopes creates her first collection of haute jewelry, followed by luxury collections of eyewear, writing instruments. The brand is also extended to exquisite collections of china, cutlery, crystals, home textiles and glazed tiles.
the biggest recognition
In 2006, Fátima Lopes was granted with one of the greatest honors of the Portuguese Republic. She was honored with the title of Comendadora da Ordem do Infante Dom Henrique by His Excellency the former President of the Portuguese Republic, Jorge Sampaio. This recognition was a result of her services in the expansion of Portuguese culture or knowledge of Portugal, its history and its values.
PFW and the Eiffel Tower

summer collection called Lévitation had opening honors in Paris Fashion Week.
Once again surprising the world by presenting the first fashion show ever at the
most iconic french monument, the Eiffel Tour.
Magnificent projects, exquisite results
Fátima Lopes has seen her work recognized in
all areas, and sport is no exception. In 2005, she assumed the creation of
the official outfits for the National Football Team. In 2011, she became
responsible for the formal official image of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, in
partnership with Grasil factory. In 2012, came the invitation to create clothing for the all new and prestigious hotel "Conrad" in Quinta do Lago,
Algarve. The result embodied the magnificence of the hotel.
In March 2013, Fátima Lopes launches her first
fragrance, named Be Mine. The
designer created the concept and image while Aurélien Guichard, from Givaudan
